Lasagna

Lasagna

This hearty lasagna is packed with flavor, and easy to make.

  • 1 16 oz lasagna no-boil pasta
  • 1 c ricotta cheese (preferably Jersey Cow's Milk Ricotta)
  • 1 lb mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1 c Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 eggs
  • 1 tblsp parsley (chopped)
  • 4 c meat sauce (search meat sauce recipe on this site)
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Set out a rectangular baking dish (about 9 by 13 inches).

  2. In a small bowl, stir together 2 cups of ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, 2 eggs,parsley, 1 tsp salt, a crack of pepper. Mix well, until all the ingredients are well combined. Set aside.

  3. Make sure the meat balls from the sauce are well smashed. Set aside.

  4. To assemble the lasagna, spoon a thin layer of the meat sauce into the bottom of the dish, Lay down a single layer of pasta sheets, spread with half of the ricotta mixture. Top with the meat sauce, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese.Repeat with another layer of pasta, the remaining ricotta, and the meat sauce. Finish with a final layer of pasta, the remaining meat sauce, the remaining mozzarella,and Parmesan cheese.Cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 40 minutes.Remove the foil, and cook (uncovered) for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese has melted and it's golden brown.
